According to Salma, she's the biggest fan of Eminem, so seeing him back there came as a big surprise. With that said, she acknowledged that she felt quite embarrassed about the meeting considering what went down. She said in the post, "Eminem, you're the greatest!"
On Monday, the 47-year-old rapper explained to reporters from Variety that he had a great time at the Oscars, and a plus side to all of it was that he got to hug Salma Hayek.
As it was previously reported, Eminem put on a surprise performance at the Oscars this year after he failed to show up to the Oscars back in the early 2000s. At the time, Eminem was nominated for an Academy Award for his song, "Lose Yourself," which was released at the same time as his hit movie, 8 Mile .
"Lose Yourself" came out in 2002 as was 8 Mile . Since its release, both the song and the movie have gone down in history as some of Eminem's best work. Eminem won the Academy Award for Best Original Song but never went to the awards.
Later, he explained that he didn't want to go because he felt as though the Oscars didn't understand a person like him. Marshall Mathers explained that he was probably at home sleeping at the time because his daughter had to get up early for school in the morning.
