Roseanne Barr Tweets That She ‘Forgives’ Co-Stars Sara Gilbert And Michael Fishman – But For What?

Following her racist tweet scandal that led to her show being canceled by ABC, Roseanne Barr continues to take to social media to defend herself all the while creating even more controversy.
Today, she offered yet another apology as well as ‘forgiveness’ for Roseanne co-stars Sara Gilbert and Michael Fishman.
Addressing the backlash she received for a racist tweet, she returned to the platform to say: ‘Please do not compare me to other people who’ve said horrible things. I only care about apologizing for the hurt I have unwittingly and stupidly caused. I humbly confess contrition and remorse. I failed to correctly express myself, and caused pain to ppl.’
She went on to also write: ‘To michael fishman and sara gilbert: I forgive you both, love u both, just wish you could’ve called me personally to talk rather than do it in a public arena. I understand, though. It’s ok.’
But the thing is…she did not really mention what she was forgiving them for!
However, the two have made statements about Roseanne’s cancelation.
‘Today’s one of the hardest in my life. I feel devastated, not for the end of the Roseanne show, but for all those who poured their hearts and souls into our jobs, and the audience that welcomed us into their homes. Our cast, crew, writers, and production staff strived for inclusiveness, with numerous storylines designed to reflect inclusiveness. The words of one person do not exemplify the thinking of all involved,’ Fishman tweeted.
He went on: ‘I condemn these statements vehemently. They’re reprehensible and intolerable, contradicting my beliefs and outlook on life and society. I’ve always lived and taught my children to be inclusive. I believe that our show strived to embrace different backgrounds and opinions, through open dialogue.’
‘Roseanne’s recent comments about Valerie Jarrett, and so much more, are abhorrent and don’t reflect the beliefs of our cast and our crew or anyone associated with the show. I’m disappointed by her actions, to say the least. This is incredibly sad and difficult for all of us, as we have created a show that we believe in, are proud of, and that audiences love — one that’s separate and apart from the opinions and words of one cast member,’ Gilbert also stated.
That being said, it sounds like Roseanne Barr is ‘forgiving’ the two for not supporting her through it all and instead, separating themselves from her….or something! That’s our best guess unless more has happened between them behind the scenes.
