Apparently, as soon as her canceled show’s spin-off The Conners premiers, Roseanne Barr is planning on moving to Israel! The woman stopped by the Rabbi Shmuley Boteach Podcast and revealed that she wants to focus on her faith.
‘I have the opportunity to go to Israel for a few months to study with my favorite teachers there, and that is where I am going to go and probably move somewhere there and study with my favorite teachers. I’ve saved a few pennies, and I am so lucky I can go. It is my great joy and privilege to be a Jewish woman,’ Barr explained.
As you know, earlier this year, the woman was involved in a huge racist scandal that led to her firing and Roseanne’s cancelation.
Barr compared Valerie Jarrett, a former Barack Obama adviser at the White House to a monkey in a tweet.
Since then, she has apologized multiple times and has tried to find all kinds of excuses, the main idea being that she is NOT racist!
It looks like Barr is still shocked by the public’s reaction.
‘People were so angry, and I really have to say a bit ill-informed about me, that they’d put me in the same box where they have people who call for the death of all Jews and who want to enslave all black people – real racists that actually exist. And how do they think that is gonna affect me. They do not think. They are under mind control.’
About losing the show, Barr confessed that if affected her very much.
‘There was mourning. It was a death to me. It’ is the death of my character that I created, that people love. That is why they watched the show, 28 million thank you very much What a slap in their faces that is too. I feel really bad for them. They contact me, and they are like, this show … was my family. They are killing our mother. A lot of them have called me, have come up to me and said, ‘You were my mom,’ and so you can imagine the grief I have gone through, not just for myself, for them.’
As for the spin-off, she made it very clear that she doesn’t want to spread any negativity and is just neutral about it.
