Roseanne Barr Denies Suffering A Heart Attack - Says It Was A Hoax
Roseanne Barr confirmed that she is ok, despite reports to the contrary. Today, on the 25th of November, Roseanne tweeted a picture of herself wearing a fake corset T-shirt and leggings to show she didn't, in fact, suffer a heart attack.
Previously, a man who claimed to be her assistant called into a radio show to say she was ill. "I'm fine," the 66-year-old actress wrote in the caption of the photo.
In another tweet, Roseanne said she was a "victim of a prank." Moreover, she doesn't have any medical problems at all and has spent the last few days hanging out with her family and relaxing.
On Saturday, a man calling himself Frank called into Sputnik News to report that Roseanne was suffering. He said he was her assistant, and she just had a heart attack.
Later on, the host of the show, 53-year-old Stranahan, said that it must've been a joke. He gave an update later saying that Roseanne was fine and didn't suffer a heart attack.
As most of her fans know, Barr has stayed out of the public's radar following the cancelation of her TV series, Roseanne, on ABC, after her controversial tweeting about Valerie Jarrett.
As it was previously reported, she lost her job in May of this year just before the summer months for making derogatory comments about the former White House worker under the Obama Administration.
Roseanne subsequently turned into one of the most hated people in Hollywood, with her persona and TV show quickly becoming the butt of every person's joke in the industry. Even Bill Maher, who claimed to be her friend, took shots at her expense on Real Time With Bill Maher.
Roseanne said her choice of words was a result of her "Ambien tweeting" and long hours of working. The drug manufacturer released a statement afterward saying that the side effects of the drug are never "racism."
Michael B Jordan, during his acceptance speech for Best Villian at the 2018 MTV Awards, said it should've been Roseanne up there, rather than himself for his character in Black Panther.
