Rose McGowan is fighting back against imposters. During an appearance on The View on the 30th of January, Rose promoted her book, Brave, where she aimed at Justin Timberlake for his support of the Time’s Up movement, an action she claims doesn’t have a truthful foundation.
After talking about her victimization at the hands of the disgraced producer, Harvey Weinstein, Rose dived in on the topic of the legal defense fund for women facing sexual abuse in the workplace.
Rose said it was merely “Hollywood fakery,” and although the “intentions are good,” the people behind it are “four CAA agents who needed good PR.” Rose says she hopes that they “desperately help these women.”
McGowan added that Justin said, “there’s Justin Timberlake hashtagging, ‘My wife looks hot tonight. Time’s Up hashtag I just did a movie with Woody Allen.”
Rose said she wished “everybody were good,” but the heroes out there “need to be better.” As you may know, Allen has faced allegations of molestation from his daughter, Dylan Farrow, whose mother was Mia Farrow.
Woody has vehemently denied the charges all of his life and stated that her mother hated him and turned Dylan against him. The director indicated that she was trained from birth to hate him for reasons that were not truthful.
As it was previously reported last year, the New York Times was the first organization to publish the allegations against Harvey Weinstein, the case which broke open the pervasive misconduct in Hollywood and other industries including broadcasting.
According to the initial report, Rose received a $100,000 settlement for the alleged rape which took place during a hotel encounter at the 1997 Sundance Film Festival. However, the pay was not to be an admission of guilt but to avoid litigation.
