Rose McGowan Finally Posts Tribute To The Late Jill Messick - Blames The ‘Bad Man’ For Her Suicide
After being slammed by a lot of people for ignoring the tragic death of her former manager and instead, posting about her accomplishments, Rose McGowan finally took to social media today to address Jill Messick’s suicide on February 7. Here’s what the Charmed star had to say.
The woman suffered from depression, and the fact that she was at the center of the Harvey Weinstein sexual harassment scandal made it a lot worse.
Rose was one of the many women who made rape allegations against Weinstein.
McGowen took to Instagram on February 10 to post a pic of a sun, and to write a heartfelt message about her former manager that included her regrets as well as her opinion about the unfortunate passing.
‘For Jill: May your family find solace during this pain. The fact that one man could cause so much damage is astounding but tragically true. The bad man did this to both of us. May you find peace on the astral plane. May you find serenity with the stars,’ she captioned the pic of the sun.
Rose’s tribute comes quickly after she was criticized by many for the fact that she initially kept quiet about the tragedy and instead, took to social media to show off about an award she received and about her accomplishments.
That post has been deleted from Instagram, but the tweet that included a link to it (which is now dead) is still there.
Rose’s response to Jill’s shocking suicide was highly anticipated by many!
Jill’s family members released an official statement about what took place, claiming she was collateral damage of the whole situation with Harvey Weinstein.
What is your opinion on Rose’s belated tribute to her former manager?
