Ronda Rousey was in a freak accident on the set of the FOX drama 911 . Days, after news broke the fighter, was going to be recurring on the third season of the hit show, Rousey shared news of an on-set accident.

The Entourage alum used social media to let fans know she had an incident on her first day of shooting 911 . What Rousey thought was a no big deal injury almost cost her one of her fingers. She used Instagram to let her fans know what happened, as well as her prognosis for recovery.

"So, the word is out I nearly lost my finger shooting @911onfox. Freak accident, first take of the day a boat door fell on my hand, I thought I just jammed my fingers, so I finished the take before looking," the blonde beauty shared on Instagram alongside a photo of her in the hospital and her injured finger.

It is quite a disgusting image. Rousey's injury also looks like it hurts severely.

"I know it sounds crazy, but I'm used to live audiences and never showing pain unless I'm supposed to after a break in the action I told our director the situation and was rushed via ambulance to the hospital where they promptly reattached my bone and tendon with a plate and screws," the WWE star declared.

Rousey kept with her fighting spirit and returned to work the very next day. She even let her fans in on how the recovery process is going, and thankfully, it is good.

"Modern medicine amazes me. I already had 50% range of motion back in 3 days. There's so much more than I can write here, stayed tuned via @rondarouseydotcom for the full story. Rhonda Rousey suffered an on-set injury while filming 911 . The fighter turned actress has booked a recurring role as one of Los Angeles toughest firefighters during the third season of the Fox drama. Her character was described by TV line as "Lena, a fearless member of the LAFD's Station 136."

It is unclear how long Lena and Rousey will be on the show. Fans can learn more about the character when the third season premieres on September 23rd.
