When Roger Mathews said that he wasn’t giving up on his marriage — he meant it. The father of two pulled out all the stops for his and Jenni ‘J-Woww’ Farley’s three-year anniversary.
Mathews took to Instagram to praise his estranged wife and treat her to a special night which included an extremely romantic dinner and a horse-drawn carriage ride.
In the photo where he and J-Woww sat at a table with food and wine, Mathews wrote: “Rome wasn’t built in a day.”
The snapshot was followed by a video where they walked up to their beautiful ride for the night.
“The horse, oh my God,” JWoww said.
“Your chariot awaits,” Mathews pointed out.
“That’s why you were worried about timing,” she replied.
“Let me get that door for you, babe. Happy anniversary,” the excited dad said.
This comes after the “Jersey Shore” star filed for divorce due to irreconcilable differences for over six months.
Roger immediately took to social media to slam any cheating rumors or messy drama. He explained that Jenni was tired of the same song and dance when it came to their relationship.
That was also when he vowed to win his family back because he has no intention of being a single father.
“My wife filed for divorce. It is true. I am just going to keep it simple. I do not blame her. There is no cheating or any dumb s**t, any juicy details. It’s she just grew tired of the repetitive pattern we fell into. I am not going to get into any detail, but it was a repetitive pattern and not a good one.”
He went on to say: “But here’s what is also true. I am not done fighting. I am going to win my wife back; I am going to win her affection back; I am going to win her love back. I have no intention of being a single dad. We are in counseling, so there’s still hope. It ain’t over until the fat lady sings.”
Do you think Mathews is headed in the right direction? Will Jenni take him back?
