As you might have heard, a new book in the Twilight franchise is set to drop this summer! It is called ‘Midnight Sun,’ and it’s a retelling of the whole story from Edward’s point of view instead of Bella’s!
Along with the news that another book is being published in August, fans have also been wondering whether or not Robert Pattinson would hypothetically play the vampire character again if they ever made another movie in the series!
Would he reprise the role that made his famous or is he completely over it?
After all, at this point in time, it’s hard to know if Stephenie Meyer‘s new Twilight book will end up being adapted for the big screen as well just like the others that came before it.
But in the scenario that it does, one source close to Rob shared via HollywoodLife how he feels about starring in Midnight Sun!
‘Rob is very proud to be connected with the Twilight franchise as it supplied so many forever memories for him personally and certainly helped his career through all the films and fandom that came from it but when it comes to the new book he hasn’t been given an advanced copy to know what other directions it may go besides obviously being about Edward’s perspective,’ they dished.
They went on to say that ‘He would love to do something and is not against coming back in some way but by the time that happens, if it were to happen he is also very realistic and knows that he might be way too old to do anything with it. But no decisions or discussions have obviously been addressed at all but he wouldn’t be surprised one bit to be offered something down the line in a few years and he will cross that road when it comes.’
Would you like to see Robert Pattinson reprising his iconic role or not?
