Rob Kardashian has been out of the spotlight for a while, and according to a new report, he is thriving because of it. The former reality star has not appeared on Keeping Up With the Kardashians this season, and he has been absent on social media. And, the result is that he has lost almost 50 pounds.
“Getting out of the spotlight was so important for Rob,” says an insider. “He needed to completely change his life, things were spiraling out of control for him, and his health and relationships were suffering. He needed to refocus.”
Living a more private life has served Kardashian well, and the insider says that over the past few months the 31-year-old has lost between 30 and 50 pounds. And, since Kardashian has Diabetes, the weight loss didn’t just help his appearance, but it improved his health.

According to The Hollywood Gossip, there had been fears in the past that Kardashian’s unhealthy diet and inactivity would cause his death. Just over a year ago, Kardashian’s weight had ballooned, and he started to develop insulin resistance. And, when you have Diabetes, that is a very dangerous condition.
But, his life is different now, and sources say that Kardashian has his “priorities in check.” The most important thing in his life is his daughter, Dream. And for her, he knows he needs to be healthy.
Dream, his daughter with ex-girlfriend Blac Chyna, will soon turn two years old.
In addition to getting healthy, Kardashian has also been spending time with his siblings, nieces, and nephews, and this has been a good thing for Dream because it has allowed her to get close to her cousins.
Back in 2016, Kardashian admitted that he once weighed over 300 pounds. And, he knew he was in trouble, but couldn’t help himself. He continued to bury himself in food whenever he felt sad. Even his sister Khloe talked about it on Revenge Body With Khloe Kardashian, when she told a contestant that she understood their struggle because they felt the same way her brother did after gaining a lot of weight. “It’s debilitating,” Khloe said.
