Robyn and Juan Dixon may have one of the most unconventional love stories in Real Housewives of Potomac’s history, but that doesn’t take away the magic in their recent engagement. Robyn has opened up about what her second proposal from her soon-to-be husband was like.
At the finale taping of RHOP, her castmates freaked out when they saw Juan get down on one knee to propose to a blushing Robyn.
If you’ve been watching the Bravo hit, you’d know that Robyn and Juan were once married, they divorced, then they stayed in the same house until they fell back in love again.
The two have talked about getting re-married — but Robyn didn’t know it would be this soon.
She told Daily Dish: ‘Shocked and excited is an understatement to describe my reaction to Juan’s proposal! I could barely breathe! We had definitely discussed the topic and agreed that marriage was the next step for us, but I was not expecting it to happen so soon! Juan gave the sweetest speech and set the whole room into an uproar when he got down on one knee! It was truly a special night and is definitely much sweeter the second time around. Oh, and he knows me well and got my ring just right!’

Sweeter the second time around! Thank you to everyone who loved, supported, rooted and prayed for Juan and I. We truly appreciate all of the love and congratulatory wishes as we embark on #DixonsPartDeux ❤️ ………….. An untraditional relationship calls for a non-traditional ring! I told a little birdie that if Juan ever proposed, I didn’t want a diamond ring…that didn’t work out too well the first time, lol. I fell in love with the Pink Morganite stone because I wanted something with significance and meaning. Morganite represents unconditional love – something that our relationship exhibits and has relied upon. My beautiful ring, commissioned by Juan and custom made by @nicolerosejewelry, is an emerald cut, double diamond halo with pink morganite center 💕💕💕 …………. Thank you @wendyosefo for the pics!
The mother also thanked the fans for their support.
‘I have been so touched by all of the well wishes that we have received from people who have been praying and rooting for us to succeed. The outpouring of love is truly heartwarming.’
She went on to say that it feels weird to call Juan her fiance, so she will just stick with husband.
Viewers will get to see more of Juan and Robyn’s love story unfold in addition to the buzzed-about drama between Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard when RHOP returns in the spring.
