It wasn’t exactly a happy holiday for LuAnn de Lesseps, who found herself in jail during the early morning hours of Christmas Eve. Florida cops arrested the Real Housewives of New York star after she trespassed into a hotel room and refused to leave. She was with an unidentified man – whom she had previously dated – and the 52-year-old was reportedly “highly intoxicated.” Could de Lesseps be facing rehab or prison time?
Page Six is reporting that de Lesseps and her male friend entered room 407 at the Colony Hotel in Palm Beach while a maid finished turndown service. De Lesseps was registered in room 327, but according to her friend Julie Olsen, the reality star didn’t understand that she was in the wrong room.

A security guard found the former Countess and her male friend in bed, but they refused to leave after numerous requests. Cops finally arrived and arrested the former countess, but only after she slammed the bathroom door in an officer’s face and screamed: “I’m going to f***ing kill you!”
The police finally restrained her and took her to the Palm Beach police station where they put her in a holding cell.
Prosecutors charged the RHONY star with four felonies, including the battery of a law enforcement officer, crimes against a person, and resisting an officer with violence, plus a misdemeanor of public intoxication. She appeared before Judge Ted Booras before being released without bond.
#BREAKING Turns out the charges are way more serious than just being drunk. Luann's been charged with 5 crimes, 4 of which are FELONIES — battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest with violence, and 2 counts of corruption by threat. https://t.co/tXM6Rbv254

According to Us Weekly, she is allowed to go back to New York but is scheduled to be in court on January 25th. The Judge advised her to hire a criminal defense attorney from Palm Beach and not to ignore the serious charges. He told her it wouldn’t be hard to find her because she is famous.
He also advised her not to incriminate herself when he theorized that she might have a drinking problem, telling her “don’t say anything.”
De Lesseps later apologized for her behavior on Twitter, writing that this is all a result of “long-buried emotions” tied to her short-lived marriage to Tom D’Agostino. It was almost a year ago that the couple wed there on December 31, 2016.
The marriage only lasted seven months before she filed for divorce amid rumors of his infidelity.
Oleson, a long-time friend of LuAnn de Lesseps, says they are going to take this situation and turn it into a positive, adding that there has to be a silver lining.
