Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice is going to have to face the fact that if her husband Joe does get deported back to his native Italy, their family will never again be together on U.S. soil. Last month an immigration judge ruled that Joe must return to his home country after he is released from prison in March 2019, and insiders say that Teresa is “heartbroken.”

Joe and Teresa are the parents of four daughters - Gia, 17, Gabriella, 14, Milania, 13, and Audriana, 9 - and if his appeal to the judge’s decision isn’t successful, the girls won’t be able to see their dad anywhere in America.  Instead, they will have to fly to Italy or another non-American location.

Joe is currently serving a 41-month federal prison sentence for fraud, and the family thought that they were getting close to him coming home. But, Judge John Ellington’s decision brought a cold, hard reality to the family, and it doesn’t look like their lives will ever be the same.

“Teresa is absolutely heartbroken over the news that Joe will not be allowed back into America once he’s deported. However, she is still a bit delusional and does not believe it will actually happen. She thinks Joe will somehow, magically be able to remain in the States despite what the judges are saying and all the signs and facts that point to the contrary,” reveals an insider.

Joe filed his appeal immediately after Judge Ellington’s ruling, but according to Page Six , Teresa is in major denial about what is going on. Their source says that Teresa is not an emotional person and she lives in denial about a lot of things. But, her oldest daughter, Gia, realizes that Joe’s deportation is a reality.

Teresa and Joe also have a large extended family, including RHONJ star Melissa Gorga and her husband Joe, who is Teresa’s brother. The insider says that family and friends are watching Teresa run around like crazy and do what she can to distract herself from what is going on. But, they wish she would stay home more with the girls instead of trying to numb the pain.

Even though the family is going through all of this, sources say that there is no way Teresa would ever leave Joe. She is angry and resentful, but she doesn’t want to go through a divorce. Her biggest concern is for her daughters, and she wants to make sure they are OK.

During an appearance earlier this month on Good Morning America, Teresa did admit that the deportation saga is having a major impact on her family. She admits she has to stay strong because she has four beautiful daughters that need their mommy.

Joe Guidice could have done the paperwork decades ago, as a spouse of a U.S. citizen, and become a U.S. citizen. Then, he would not be facing deportation. Joe KNEW he was not a citizen, he was proud of having an Italian passport when he went to Italy. Joe committed several crimes that have made him deportable. I hope that we are not changing immigration law again for a celebrity.

Maybe had she taken an active role in the initial deportation proceedings as opposed to hiding under a rock the family wouldn't be in this situation. She needs to parade "daddy's little girls" in the next hearing to cry and tug at the heartstrings of the judge. I understand that she's pissed at Joe, but for the sake of her girls she needs to suck it up put her nose to the grindstone. They're the ones who will ultimately be hurt the most if he gets deported. Either she's ignoring the advice of her legal team, or she needs a new one.
