Real Housewives of Orange County star Vicki Gunvalson has been dating her boyfriend, Steve Lodge, for over two years. And earlier this year he moved into her Southern California mansion. But, what do we really know about the man who Gunvalson’s co-stars claim is with her for the money? It turns out, Lodge has a past full of alleged political manipulations, failed runs for office, and multiple fight and assault charges.
As rumors start to swirl that Gunvalson and Lodge’s relationship could be on the rocks, more details are coming to light about his past, and it is filled with secrets and scandals.
The former United States Army paratrooper and City of Santa Ana police officer was accused two separate times of assault and battery while he was on the force, but nothing ever came from either charge.
I didn’t divorce my millionaire ex husband for a billionaire. I’m looking for a trillionaire. Sorry I have high standards, but I don’t date trash can collectors or crooked cops like Steve Lodge! #RHOC #WWHL

In 1991, a man named John Ellis accused Lodge of assault, but the case was eventually transferred to municipal court. However, because of the age of the case, the documents have been destroyed. Then, in 1997, another man named Araceli Orozco made the same accusation, but a year later he requested the case to be dismissed with prejudice.
Lodge has another incident in his alleged history of violence. In 2012, after getting into a fight with a man named Michael Thomas, who was sleeping with his then-wife, he got hit with a restraining order. Thomas claimed in court documents that Lodge had punched him in the face multiple times, causing a black eye, bruising, and other injuries.
Steve Lodge has a cop's pension and retirement. He's far from wealthy and we have never once seen his home. He's basically living with and off of Vicki. It's why she gives him chores. #HouseBitch #RHOC

Lodge left the police force in 2009 and became a city government consultant. He then ran for Anaheim City Council in 2012 and 2016, but he lost both elections and got hit with a lawsuit. Elector Cynthia Ward sued Lodge in 2012 for changing his name to Steve “Chavez” Lodge on the election ballots. She filed the suit because Lodge wasn’t using his legal name, and it was also not the name he used in his voter registration or for property ownership.
Ward also alleged that Lodge was using “Chavez” for political purposes, and it was “false” and “misleading.” Lodge ended up finishing dead last in the city council election for one of the two open seats.
And, during his second run in 2016, it was also discovered that Lodge was renting an apartment in Anaheim just so he could meet the ballot requirements. All candidates had to have an established residence in the area they ran in.

After his loss in 2012, he moved 50 miles away to Murrieta. Later he rented the apartment in West Anaheim, so he could run for office again, but neighbors said he didn’t live there.
Reality Blurb is reporting that Vicki Gunvalson and Steve Lodge are on the verge of a breakup because she isn’t in love with him, and she is starting to see that he is only with her for her money and fame.
