The divorce drama between Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador and her estranged husband, David, continued this week in court. And, when it was all said and done, the judge in the case ordered David to continue paying Shannon over $10,000 a month in spousal support.
A new report claims that the court hearing lasted almost three hours, and when it was over, David and Shannon continued bickering in the hallway. While getting on the elevator and holding back tears, Shannon yelled at her ex, “You are such a nickel and dimer! It’s disgusting!”
Both David and Shannon appeared in Orange County Superior Court on Monday because he had requested that the court amend the $22,500 a month child and spousal support that they ordered him to pay back in July. David and Shannon are the parents of three daughters — Sophie, 17, Stella, 14, and Adeline, 14.
When both sides originally agreed that David would pay Shannon over $10,000 a month in spousal support, with the rest of the amount going to their daughters, it came with the understanding that David could ask the court to modify the amount in the future.
During this week’s hearing, David told Judge James L. Waltz that the financial paperwork Shannon submitted to the court didn’t accurately portray all of her earnings. David said that he believes Shannon makes closer to $900,000 a year, which means that he shouldn’t have to pay her spousal support.
But, Judge Waltz scolded David because the expense declaration he gave the court was incomplete and not professionally done. David’s excuse was that he only had the lunch hour to prepare all of the financial documents required for the hearing.
Andrew Hunt, the court-appointed forensic accountant, testified that he looked at both David and Shannon’s earnings. And, when David — acting as his own attorney — asked Hunt if he knew how much Shannon made for each RHOC episode, he replied that he believed Shannon earned about $24,000 per episode. Hunt also testified that he thought the current level of spousal support Shannon is receiving is in the appropriate range.
David asked Judge Waltz if he could show Hunt Shannon’s RHOC contract because he wanted to prove that the forensic accountant was using her $300,000 salary from the reality show as her income. However, David believes that she is making a lot more than that. David added that he hated doing it, and he just wants “to settle the whole thing.”

As Radar Online reports, Shannon remained quiet and fidgeted in her seat while David questioned Hunt. And, her attorney, John Benedict Phillips, claimed that David still makes more money than Shannon. He said that David’s income for 2017 was approximately $108,000 per month.
But, David argued that his income fluctuates, and some of those earnings are from ongoing projects that might not be complete. After Hunt testified, the judge halted the proceedings and said that both sides needed more accurate earnings records, and they will wait until after they file their 2018 taxes.
The judge then ordered David to continue paying $22,500 a month to Shannon Beador in family support and told the former couple to come back in February.
