Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador went back to court earlier this week to battle her estranged husband, David, over spousal and child support. They each had to submit financial documents, and there were some major differences in their claims about each other’s incomes.
David claimed that Shannon makes $65,000 a month, compared to his $20,000 a month. But, Shannon claimed that David made $108,000 per month, while her earnings were around $30,000 a month.
As for their expenses, Shannon said her monthly expenses totaled $30,000, and that included $10,000 a month on “filming preparation,” $12k on rent, over $1,600 eating out, $5,000 on entertainment, and $2,250 on clothing.
David claimed that his expenses totaled $12,250 a month. That included $7,500 on rent, $2,000 on groceries, $1,000 on eating out, and $1,000 for entertainment, gifts, and vacation.
Shannon and David’s divorce battle has been going on for months. The former couple — who share daughters Sophie, 16, Stella, 14, and Adeline, 14 — clashed back in March when he filed for joint custody of the children. He claimed that Shannon wasn’t encouraging a healthy relationship between him and their daughters.
At that time, the Judge in their case ordered David to pay $22,500 a month in spousal and child support. And in their most recent court hearing, the Judge said that David must continue to pay that amount until the former couple submits more accurate financial and earning documents. He scheduled their next court date for February.
After her latest court appearance, Shannon took to Instagram to thank her co-stars — Kelly Dodd, Tamra Judge, and Vicki Gunvalson — for their support.
“Tough day in court… Grateful for my neighbor and friend @rhoc_kellyddodd and tres amigos extraordinaire @tamrajudge and @vickigunvalson for their loving support today,” Shannon wrote. “#iamveryblessed #lovemyamazingfriends.”
In July, Shannon told Us Weekly that she was dipping her feet back into the dating pool, and Judge was pulling out all the stops. She added that dating again was awkward for her, especially when someone sets her up, but it is also exciting.
Shannon also revealed that her divorce was “anything but friendly,” and there was a lot of anger, but it wasn’t necessarily coming from her. She added that all of the emotion made things difficult. But, she continues to try and move past it, and at some point, everything would be settled. Then, she can shut that chapter in her life and move on, and that is something she is looking forward to.
