Production for Season 14 of the Real Housewives of Orange County is about to get underway. Several cast members confirmed that filming is scheduled to kick off next week and we cannot wait to see what kind of drama unfolds. Which RHOC stars will be back in action for the new season?
So far, five cast members have confirmed their involvement in the new season. This includes Vicki Gunvalson, Shannon Beador, Kelly Dodd, Gina Kirschenheiter, and Emily Simpson. Although we have no idea what will happen this season, some of the drama from last year’s reunion will likely bleed over.
In Season 13, fans watched as Gunvalson and Dodd’s friendship turned south after the OG of the OC played matchmaker with Dodd’s ex-husband Michael. Gunvalson hooked Michael up with one of her close friends but did not tell Dodd about it. Dodd was unhappy with the situation and let Gunvalson knows about it during the reunion.
Unfortunately, things only went downhill from there. After Gunvalson accused Dodd of using drugs at the reunion, Dodd took to social media to express her frustration with her RHOC co-star. At one point, Dodd told fans that she would not return to the show if Gunvalson was not fired.
Dodd eventually backtracked and agreed to be a part of the new season, though it reportedly took a lot of convincing from producers. In fact, sources claim that Bravo offered Dodd a larger paycheck if she returned for at least one more season.
“Kelly got super upset in the heat of the moment. But the higher-ups are coaxing Kelly into staying because they need the drama for next season,” the insider added.
According to Page Six, Dodd and Gunvalson are still feuding, and fans can expect them to address their many issues in the upcoming season. There’s no telling what will happen between the former friends this season, but hopefully they find a way to get past their differences and move on.
Bravo has not announced when Season 14 of the Real Housewives of Orange County will premiere, but it should begin sometime this year.
