Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna recently went on Andy Cohen’s radio show, and even though fans of the show are loving her for attempting to stay out of the drama this season, some of the comments she made put her right in the middle of it during the ladies’ appearance on Watch What Happens Live.
The RHOBH season finale airs next week, and according to Champagne and Shade, during the radio interview Rinna said that she carried the show this season, but she was hoping that Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle Richards would bring it. She didn’t mention them by name, instead she referred to the two highest-paid cast members.
Rinna said that they should have been the ones to bring the drama.
When Vanderpump tweeted “Really?” in response to the interview, a follower pointed out that Rinna must be out for blood. The restaurant mogul seemed surprised that Rinna would take credit for carrying the show, possibly because it undermined her own storyline. And, Vanderpump’s storyline was an emotional one this week since she received a compassion award for her work on the documentary The Road to Yulin…and Beyond.
The documentary was a first for Vanderpump and her husband, Kenneth Todd, and it covers the last two years of The Vanderpump Dog Foundation’s trips to China to expose the torture occurring during the Yulin Dog Meat Festival.
Some have called this season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills the most boring ever, so Rinna may have a point. But, when the ladies took over Watch What Happens Live this past Tuesday, it was more dramatic than all of season eight put together.
An audience member asked Vanderpump what she meant when she said Rinna wasn’t “engaged” this season, and Richards fell out of her chair.
“That seemed a little shady,” the woman asking the question said, to which Vanderpump responded, “Oh, shade is my strength! It was meant to be shady.”
Vanderpump then said that Rinna has been talking about getting rid of the “old girls,” meaning her and Richards, but Rinna denied she ever said that.
Cohen attempted to diffuse the situation by saying Rinna only commented that the show needed new blood, and she didn’t say “get rid of the old girls.”
But, then Rinna fired at Vanderpump, calling her a “sh*t stirrer,” and saying she didn’t listen to the interview, so she doesn’t know – cue Richards falling out of her chair again.
Things got even worse when an audience member asked the women what their taglines for each other would be. On a lighter note, the women played a game where they would win a puppy if they admitted to the plastic surgeries Cohen listed off.
Catch Lisa Rinna, Lisa Vanderpump, and Kyle Richards on the season finale of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Tuesday night on Bravo.
