‘RHOBH’ Star Camille Grammer’s Fiance’s Shade Past Revealed

David Meyer made his debut last week on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as Camille Grammer’s new fiancé, and according to Page Six, he is a lawyer with a questionable past. It seems the handsome attorney represented a con artist that scammed his victims out of millions, and the two were so close, some thought they were romantically involved.
Meyer once represented Troy Stratos, a man who the court sentenced to 22 years in prison back in 2016 for scamming $43 million from victims like Eddie Murphy’s ex-wife, Nicole. Stratos pled guilty to stealing $10 million of the $15 million Nicole got from the comedian in their divorce.
When lawyers deposed Stratos’ brother-in-law Kenneth Dennis, they asked him if Stratos and Meyer were more than friends. He replied that he didn’t know.
“Nothing overt. It just seems rather odd that if indeed — if indeed Meyer went outside the bounds of what an attorney should do for a client, why would they — why would he do that for him?” said Dennis.
ESG Capital sued Meyer’s firm, Venable, in 2013 for malpractice related to their representation of Stratos. A lawyer for the firm argued that Meyer had no idea there was “fraudulent activity going on.”
US 9th Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Harry Pregerson replied that the lawyer was going to have a tough job proving that argument. They ultimately settled the case in 2017.
The most recent episode of RHOBH introduced Meyer as “David,” and he met all of Grammer’s co-stars during a tequila-fueled dinner party at Kyle Richards’ house. The women congratulated Grammer on her man being so handsome.
Meyer and Grammer got engaged back in October, even though court papers reveal that he was still married to Wendy, his wife of eleven years and the mother of their two sons. The couple separated in 2014 after Meyer assaulted her.
His angry ex is claiming that Meyer has gone on a spending spree since their split, saying he has bought a new car, leased a home in an expensive area of Malibu, and is frequently dining at expensive restaurants.
Meyer is living the good life with Grammer, and at the party, he got quite the introduction to his fiancé’s co-stars and got a quick education in what it means to hang out with the ladies from Beverly Hills.
Dorit Kemsley got drunk at the gathering and proceeded to call Grammer a C-U-Next-Tuesday. The comment came from absolutely nowhere, with Grammer not instigating it in any way.
Kemsley later apologized, calling her comment stupid and childish. She claimed on her blog that she had too much to drink, but Camille Grammer says that Kemsley is self-absorbed and often drinks too much. She added that the comment embarrassed her and Kemsley hurt her feelings.
