Denise Richards has begun filming her first season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and according to a new report, she is fitting right in. At the premiere of her new movie The Toybox, Richards’ castmates Dorit Kemsley, Camille Grammer, Teddi Mellencamp, and Erika Jayne all showed up on the red carpet to support her.
“I love all of them,” Richards said of her castmates. “I do! No catfights with me, so far. They’re really strong women and very supportive of one another. And I really, really admire that in them, and I love that they’re here. It means a lot.”
When she joined the show last month, Richards said that she was a big RHOBH fan, but she never thought of herself as being fancy enough to be a part of the show. But, then she figured why not? After being through so much in her life (things she has been private about), Richards thought she was in a good place, and it would be fun to be a part of the Bravo reality show.
The Wild Things star says that she has formed good friendships with the RHOBH women, but she had known Lisa Rinna “forever.” Now, the two are closer than ever before, and she plans on continuing her friendships with the entire cast because they are “amazing.”
Even though her transition into reality show star has gone smoothly, Richards says there is one thing she hasn’t gotten used to. She admitted that it has been daunting going out in public, like to restaurants, because she is used to being in scripted projects. She says they make a spectacle of them walking into public places, and then when things do happen, it gets crazy.
But, even though it is different, Richards says she is loving it and having a good time.
Entertainment Tonight is also reporting that Richards had fun filming The Toybox, but she is a bit scared to watch it since it is a horror movie. She says it is scary, and there are also parts which are “a little disturbing.”
Richards admitted that her middle daughter, 13-year-old Lola, doesn’t want to see the movie because she doesn’t want to be scared, and 7-year-old Eloise is too young to see it. However, her oldest, 14-year-old Sam, is into horror flicks and was very excited that her mom was in the movie.
During her red-carpet interview, Richards also talked about her surprise wedding to Aaron Phypers earlier this month. The couple wed on September 8th, just 48 hours after giving their family and friends, even their wedding planner, notice of the ceremony.
Richards admitted that she and Phyper had known for a while that they wanted to get married, but they weren’t sure of a date. But eight is a significant number for Phypers because it means infinity, so they decided just to go ahead and do it instead of waiting. So, she called her wedding planner, Mindy Weiss, and they pulled it together quickly.
