RHOBH Erica Jayne's Husband Tom Girardi Sued For $15 Million In Unpaid Loans
Erika Jayne's husband, Thomas Girardi, is being sued for not paying back a multi-million loan. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star's husband reportedly took out a $15 million to finance his law firm, and the lender is suing him for failing to make a single payment.
The court records characterize Girardi as a famous attorney from Los Angeles. The lender, Law Finance Group, claims that they gave Girardi the money in 2015 so that he could sustain his lavish lifestyle while keeping his firm from going bankrupt.
According to The Blast , Girardi promised that his firm would pay the loan back and used his home in Pasadena as collateral. But instead of making any sort of payment, the Law Finance Group says that Girardi kept making promises that he could not keep.
Girardi reportedly agreed to a repayment plan last summer. He was supposed to give the firm a balloon payment of $1 million along with monthly dues. With Girardi failing to live up to the agreement, the firm had no choice but to sue.
The Law Finance Group is seeking $15,151,989, plus additional damages. It is unclear how much the additional damages will cost the couple. Girardi, who has won millions in litigation over the years, has not commented on the suit.
Jayne and Girardi tied the knot in 1999. Despite clearly having money issues, Jayne has not shown any signs of slowing down her lavish lifestyle.
A few months ago, the RHOBH star flew to France with her co-stars, Dorit Kemsley, Teddi Mellencamp, Kyle Richards and Lisa Rinna. The only cast members who did not make the trip, which went down during the California wildfires, were Denise Richards and Lisa Vanderpump.
After she got home, Erika Jayne revealed that the cast vacation was likely the most expensive in the history of the show.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills returns for Season 9, Feb. 12, on Bravo.
