Kevin McCall has made headlines for bashing his ex-girlfriend and even his own daughter on social media. Lately, Eva Marcille has stayed relatively quiet about the bizarre ordeal up until now.
The model visited “The Wendy Williams Show” on November 15 where she finally spoke directly on her baby daddy’s antics.
Eva brings up a great point about biology vs. actually being a present parent: “What’s amazing is that [Kevin McCall] thinks biology is more important than being present. Marley knows her dad. He picks her up from school. He gives her life lessons. [Michael Sterling is] her dad.”
The “RHOA” star has referred to her current husband, Michael Sterling, as her daughter’s father instead of stepfather and received backlash for it. The mother of two doubled down on her reference during her appearance.
“It’s really hard with a lot of people’s opinions and on social media and Instagram. They’re like, ‘That’s her dad. She should see him.’ I’m like, ‘He’s extremely dysfunctional, and he is not at a place where it’s safe for himself or others. Why would I do that?”
“I’m open to Marley having the best of what she needs. If [Kevin is] at a place where he is happy and good, and life is good for him … He doesn’t go all the way to the top floor. We kind of stop at a certain point. To be a parent, you need to be responsible, she added.
In order for Kevin to see the child they share, Eva states that he needs to go to court and talk mediation.
McCall’s last few posts about Marcille were uploaded to his Instagram Stories where he suggested that her newborn belonged to him.
“Thanks for all the congratulations and everything, um, not posting any pictures of the baby right now because, you know, we just want to keep our privacy and protect our family. And also, the baby dark-skinned.”
What do you think about this situation? Is Eva making the right decision?
