'RHOA' NeNe Leakes Shocking Net Worth Revealed! Plus, How Does It Measure Up To Her Co-Stars_
Linnethia Monique Johnson, also known as Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes, first rose to fame back in 2008 when she became a fan favorite after her first appearance on RHOA. Since then, Leaks has built an empire from various reality TV shows, acting gigs, and in the fashion industry, and it has turned into a $14 million fortune.
According to Radar Online , Leaks has a lifestyle that takes a lot of money to maintain, but it hasn’t always been that way. Leakes and her husband, Gregg, faced eviction back in 2008 before she shot to reality TV fame, and they were forced to leave their home. And, in 2010, there was a lot of drama after Leakes found out that Dwight Eubanks had loaned her husband $10,000.
But those financial woes didn’t keep Leakes from getting “very rich,” and she did it all on her own. Because she was so popular on RHOA , that led to bigger and better contracts. In 2012, she earned $750,000 per season plus bonuses for filming specials. And, she also got extra cash for her spinoff I Dream of NeNe and her “made-for-TV” million-dollar wedding.
By the end of Season 5, she had accumulated $4 million from the show, and she hinted that she might be done. But, the network wasn’t done with her and signed her to a new contract worth $1 million per season, making her the highest paid Housewife in the franchise. She earned that salary for Seasons 6 through 8 and then left the show in 2015.
During her stint as a contestant on The Apprentice in 2011, Leakes bragged that she was “rich...very rich,” and she told Sheree Whitfield, “While you were running your mouth, I was running to the bank … depositing a Trump check!”
Leakes also starred on Dancing With the Stars and E!’s Fashion Police , and she appeared as Coach Roz in 13 episodes of the Fox TV show Glee between 2012 and 2015. She also added to her net worth with a clothing line she launched on the Home Shopping Network in 2014 which sold out. And, in 2016 she opened the Swagg Boutique where she also sells her line.
Eventually, Leakes went back to RHOA for Season 10, but she demanded a lot more cash for her return. She made $2.5 million during that season, and it was so successful that she got an increase to $2.7 million for Season 11.
Leakes $14 million net worth dominates most of her RHOA co-stars. Romper reports that Whitfield is worth $250,000, and Cynthia Bailey and Porsha Williams each have a net worth of $500,000. Kandi Burruss is the wealthiest RHOA cast member, with a net worth of $35 million thanks to her legendary music career.
