As you may know by now, nine people lost their lives and other 27 were injured in a mass shooting in Dayton, Ohio and now, Hollywood stars are speaking up about it. The attack was actually the second one in less than 24 hours. Before that, an attack that took place in El Paso, Texas also killed 20 people.
Now, celebrities such as John Legend and Reese Witherspoon are using their voices to bring more awareness to this huge problem the country has been struggling with lately.
They are calling for America’s gun laws to be changed!
Witherspoon posted: ‘Woke up to the news of Dayton shooting. This senseless loss of life is just unbearable. When will US representatives give people of this country the common-sense gun laws we're all demanding? I am calling my congressman. Again. @Everytown.’
Meanwhile, Legend also tweeted that ‘Our nation's experiencing these traumas way too often and we need leaders to take action: take these weapons of war off of the street and fight this evil ideology of white nationalism which motivates many of these terrorists. When we condemn racist venom coming from the President's mouth and point out the bigotry of his policies, it is not an academic question, it is not a political game, it is about life and death.’
The singer made it a point to call out president Trump, stressing that he is a part of the problem since he actually often ‘inspires’ killers.
Speaking of, the president also took to his Twitter to address the crisis.
He assured the citizens that the FBI and local law enforcement are working hard on finding information about the attack and shooter/s.

The next to call him out was Rihanna who posted: ‘Um... Donald, you spelt 'terrorism' wrong!’ and presented the events as they really happened.
The singer then criticized his plans to build a wall and make immigration much harder on foreigners wanting to get an American Visa.
‘Imagine a world where it is easier to get an AK-47 than a VISA! Imagine a world where they build a wall to keep terrorists IN AMERICA!!!’ she wrote.
