'Real Housewives Of Atlanta' Adds Two New Housewives To Replace Fired Kenya Moore And Sheree Whitfield
It has been a decade since the Real Housewives of Atlanta debuted on Bravo and a lot has changed over the years. NeNe Leakes is the only original cast member left and she only recently returned after a short hiatus. With production ramping up for Season 11, producers will be introducing two new faces to replace Kenya Moore and Sheree Whitfield, both of whom were fired last season.
Moore’s exit was not a surprise after she hid her marriage from producers and did not allow her husband on the show. Whitfield’s departure was also expected, mainly because she failed to do anything memorable for a second season in a row.
Kim Zolciak, who appeared on a few episodes last season, also vowed to quit the series after a drama filled reunion. We so many casting changes in play, producers are hoping the new additions will breathe fresh life into the show.
In Season 11, fans will meet newcomer Shamari DeVoe while Eva Marcille – who was a guest last season – will be promoted to a series regular.
According to AJC , DeVoe is married to singer Ronnie DeVoe, who is a member of New Edition and Bell Biv DeVoe. The ladies will be joining existing cast members Porsha Williams, Kandi Burruss and Cynthia Bailey. Producers are also hoping to spice things up by adding Marlo Hampton back into the mix.
Bravo recently released a trailer for Season 10 that offers a look at what is ahead. In the clip, we find out that Bailey has a new man in her life, Williams is excited about her pregnancy, and Marcille works on wedding plans. The trailer also confirmed that the ladies will be travelling to Tokyo for the cast trip this season.
Season 11 of the Real Housewives of Atlanta premieres Nov. 4 on Bravo.
