Lil Wayne has gotten himself into serious trouble with the authorities in recent news. Hot New Hip Hop picked up on a statement from the rapper's lawyer in which it was revealed that the performing artist had been caught with a gold-plated firearm in his luggage approximately one year ago, however, he's just being charged now.

Thus far, Lil Wayne hasn't been accused of showing it off, firing it, or using it in any other way, however, the severity of the crime lies in the rapper's criminal history. Lil' Wayne is a convicted felon, and felons are barred from owning a gun.
