According to a report from Us Weekly, Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz had their first baby together. Daniel and Rachel welcomed a girl, giving Ella and Henry a little sister.
As fans of the couple know, Weisz shares an 11-year-old with her ex, the acclaimed director, Darren Aronofsky, and Craig shares Ella, 25, with his ex-wife, Fiona Loudon. During a conversation with E! News in April, Rachel said they were “ready” and “very excited” to have kids.
Speaking on Henry and Ella’s behalf, she said, “they were really excited” to have a little sister. In the same month, during an appearance on Stephen Colbert’s The Late Show, Rachel joked that their kid would be bilingual, in the sense that they’re mixing American and English dialects of the same language.
On the 20th of April, Rachel, 48, and Craig, 50, told the world in a profile published in the New York Times that they were having a kid. The Fountain alum said she and Daniel were “very happy” together.
“We’re going to have a little human,” the actress remarked and said they couldn’t wait to meet him/her. Just a few days after, Rachel showed off her baby bump while in New York City.
Rachel joined the ranks of other Hollywood and entertainment industry stars who had children later in the life, including Geena Davis, and Janet Jackson, who had children at 48 and 50-years-old respectively.
Having a child at 48-years-old is no easy feat. Many women struggle to conceive, especially as they grow older.
One star to get candid about the emotional turmoil of getting pregnant was Carrie Underwood, who stated she suffered through three miscarriages within two years. Kelly Clarkson praised the country star for being honest about an issue so many women battle with.
