Rachel Bilson, formerly of the OC, is crushing it in life lately, as she has her own new TV show and a new house. It seems like she's got it all.

During a chat with reporters from People Magazine, Rachel dished on the difficulties that come with being a Hollywood star, because it's not as easy as some might think.

It's even more difficult when one has to balance a flourishing career and co-parenting a child along with an ex-boyfriend. Bilson said that "being a mom is number 1 for me," and it "always will be."

For that reason, she only chooses projects that she really wants to do. Bilson and Hayden Christensen broke up last fall, despite the fact they had been dating for nearly ten years.

However, thankfully, they've been able to co-parent amicably for their three-year-old daughter, Briar Rose. It's a struggle though, and working with an ex to make things work takes a ton of emotional energy.

Rachel said she and Hayden are "kind of trying to figure it out." They tell their young daughter, who doesn't understand the nature of their situation yet, that "mommy has a house," and "daddy has a house."

Bilson explained that sacrificing their work schedule to make her daughter feel loved is of the utmost importance. The crucial thing for her "is that Briar is okay, secure, and stable."

As you may know, in the last few years, celebrities have been all over tabloid headlines for not only their careers and salacious scandals, but for their ability make co-parenting situations work for the betterment.

Some of the most famous couples to co-parent include Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick, as well as Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin., It's a struggle not all are able to manage, with Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian being probably the greatest example of this.
