R. Kelly’s situation continues to get worse as more and more women come out of the woodwork to accuse him of nefarious and sinister crimes, some of which have led to R. Kelly having to face a court and jury. The latest ex-spouse of the R & B singer is his ex-wife, Andrea Kelly, who just came forward about him in an interview with Inside Edition.
During a chat with reporters from the organization, Andrea dished on the details of their relationship, at the end of it proclaiming, “he’s definitely a monster.”
Andrea claims their home together – as a result of his tendency to be over-protective and authoritarian – became a sort of prison, one which she couldn’t ever escape.
In her view, Andrea spent a long time married, but to this day, doesn’t know what it’s like to truly “be a wife.” The ex-wife of Kelly added that their massive and expensive home together, which was supposed to be like a dream house, ended up being her prison.
Following the cascade of allegations against men in Hollywood – as well as larger society – women such as Andrea, feel empowered to share their stories. And the ones detailed by R. Kelly’s other accusers inspired her to come out.
According to Andrea, she couldn’t leave the house ever unless granted explicit permission, and she had to call him “Daddy,” otherwise he would get really upset. This is the same sentiment expressed by both Kitty Jones and Asante McGhee.
Additionally, Kelly claims the singer tied her up once against her will and he left her on the side of the bed while he slept one time as punishment for not obeying his demands.
In case you missed it, this is just one of many accusations against R. Kelly in recent months, as the singer is finding himself at the center of a sexual misconduct controversy yet again. The last time involved underage girls and pornographic evidence, crimes for which the court and jury exonerated him.
