Queen Elizabeth II Attends Church After Falling Ill Last Month
For the first time In a month Queen Elizabeth II appeared in public.
The 90-year-old monarch attended church on Sunday with her family.
The longest reigning Queen in British History has been unable to attend public events after contracting a bad cold last month.
Yesterday she was able to attend church with Prince William; Princess Kate; Kate’s mom, Carole Middleton; Kate’s brother, James Middleton; and Kate’s sister, Pippa Middleton.
The Queen has enjoyed relatively good health during her reign -- although over the past decade or so has cut down on travel and public appearances.
Prior to falling ill the Queen and Prince Philip had planned a trip to their Norfolk estate for Christmas.
Meanwhile the TV series “The Crown,” based on Queen Elizabeth’s succession to the throne, was a big winner at this year’s Golden Globes. The Netflix original show won several awards last night. The show won best drama series and Claire Foy (The Queen) won for best performance by an actress in a TV series. Actor John Lithgow was also nomination for his portrayal of Winston Churchill.
