Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra’s wedding celebration is officially underway. Earlier this week, the couple was in Mumbai, dressed in traditional Indian suits, to kick off their pre-wedding festivities. Chopra wore an embroidered pastel blue suit, and Jonas wore a pink kurta.
The couple was outside of her parents’ house and heading to a puja (worship service), and they will reportedly tie the knot this weekend in Jodhpur, a town that is a 12-hour drive outside of New Delhi. Jonas has been fully committed to following Indian wedding traditions, starting everything off with a Roka ceremony at their engagement party.
Since the beginning of their relationship earlier this year, the couple has recorded their journey for fans on Instagram. The Jealous singer and Isn’t It Romantic actress have posted a ton of pics on their way to becoming husband and wife.
According to E! News, the couple first sparked romance rumors at the 2017 Met Gala when they walked the red carpet together while wearing Ralph Lauren designs. But, it wasn’t until May 2018 – when they were spotted together on Memorial Day weekend – that the rumors really went into overdrive.
Just a few weeks later Chopra was Jonas’ date for his cousin Rachel Tamburelli’s wedding in Atlantic City, and the Quantico actress spent time with his family. Since then, the couple has been inseparable.
They have traveled all over the world together and spent time with each other’s families. And in July, he proposed with a $200,000 ring from Tiffany & Co.
In late October, Chopra had her bridal shower at Tiffany’s Blue Box Cafe in New York City, and then the actress and her closest friends flew to Amsterdam for her bachelorette party.
In early November, the groom shared with fans the names of some of the groomsmen that will participate in the wedding ceremony, including his brothers Joe and Kevin. On Instagram, Nick shared a pic of his gift to his groomsmen – Lime Bike scooters.
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas obtained their marriage license earlier this month, and now they are taking part in various pre-wedding festivities, including a Mehndi party and a Christian ceremony, before exchanging vows in the historic Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur on December 2nd.
