As it turns out, even blue-blooded parents make their children do chores – or worse! At least this is the case of Prince Charles, who apparently, used to encourage his two sons, Prince Charles and Prince Harry, to pick up trash. But don’t be mistaken by thinking that they were just cleaning after themselves because the said trash was not even theirs!
Don’t you think that’s just rubbish? Get it?
It’s definitely not a joke! Prince William and his brother Harry reveal in an upcoming documentary titled Prince, Son and Heir: Charles at 70, that their father used to have them pick up litter when they were kids, and apparently, they did it when they were supposed to have fun and relax – on vacations!
‘He took us litter-picking, when we were younger, on holidays. We were in just Norfolk on school holidays, and went out litter-picking with him,’ the older of the two princes dished.
That’s actually some fantastic environmental education!
But do you think the boys would complain and try to rebel against their dad for making them do such boring and tedious work? Apparently not, because they didn’t even know any better!
He explained that ‘Both of us thought, ‘This is perfectly normal, everyone must do it.’ We were there with spikes, stabbing the rubbish into plastic bags.’
But of course, it was a great lesson for the royal brothers who were inspired both by their father and late mother, Princess Diana, to protect and try to save the planet.
‘He’s just let us learn from the nature of the job, learn from him, from Mummy, to the point that I used to get the … mickey (taken) out of me at school for picking up rubbish,’ Harry shared.
