Prince William and Kate Middleton have always shared a close relationship with Prince Harry, but that might change now that Harry is starting a family of his own with Meghan Markle. Royal experts believe that the dynamic between William and Harry is different now that Markle is expecting her first baby. Are the royal foursome headed for a major breakup?
William and Harry are reportedly thinking about splitting up Kensington Palace to create separate offices. The move could happen as early as this spring, a date that coincides with the birth of Markle and Harry’s first child.

Last night The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the Tusk Conservation Awards 2018. The #TuskAwards celebrate the extraordinary work of individuals who are protecting endangered wildlife in Africa. Their Royal Highnesses met all the award nominees and supporters of Tusk before The Duke presented three Conservation Awards… ➡️Tusk Award for Conservation to Vincent Opyene who has single-handedly changed how Uganda addresses the illegal wildlife trade, risking his life on a daily basis to combat wildlife trafficking and to bring criminals to justice. ➡️ The Tusk Wildlife Ranger Award to Julius Obwona for his leadership in Murchison Falls, Uganda which has led to the prosecution of 720 suspects involved in wildlife related crimes, and the number of elephants killed by poachers has dropped from three a day to three a month. ➡️ The Prince William Award for Conservation in Africa to Pete Morkel in recognition of his successful work in relocating a range of wildlife including rhino, elephant and giraffe. Through his work, a much higher level of knowledge on these species has been acquired throughout Africa, ultimately helping with their management, protection and wider conservation. #ForAllTheyDo #TuskAwards #endwildlifecrime ?(2) @chrisjacksongetty ? Officials have not commented on the plans to breakup Kensington Palace, but the move makes sense now that Harry is starting a family of his own.
Once Prince Charles takes the throne, William will move into his Father’s old position as the Prince of Wales. One day, he will become the King of England. In the meantime, Harry and Markle will be left to establish legacies of their own. With a baby on the way, the timing is right for Harry to start moving out of his older brother’s shadow.
“The arrival of Meghan has changed the dynamic of the relationship in a fairly significant way,” royal expert Sally Bedell Smith shared.
According to People, Smith added that Markle already has plans on what she wants to do as a part of the royal family. This includes being a supporter of women’s rights around the world.
Smith believes that Harry shares Markle’s passions and interests, but William and Middleton are looking to go a different direction.

Today The Duke and Duchess of Sussex unveiled a @QueensCanopy dedication at North Shore Riding Club — to be named the Carol Whaley Native Bush, honouring a long-standing supporter of riding and conservation. After the unveiling The Duke and Duchess planted trees with local schoolchildren — The Duchess planted a Kōwhai tree, the flower of which was one of 53 on the veil of her wedding dress, representing each nation of the Commonwealth…and there was even time for a spot of welly wanging – swipe to see the film! #RoyalVisitNZ #NewZealand ? Fortunately, Markle clearly has what it takes to forge her own path, and she and Harry make a pretty dynamic duo.
Prince Harry and Markle just returned from their trip to New Zealand, where they were on hand to celebrate the 125th anniversary of women’s suffrage. The two have not commented on the reports surrounding Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Meghan Markle is scheduled to give birth this spring to the seventh heir to the throne.
