Prince Harry Meets Melania Trump Ahead Of Invictus Games In Toronto
Prince Harry and the First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump, met for the first time at the third annual Invictus Games in Toronto, Canada, today, Saturday, the 23rd of September. The 47-year-old former model looked great in a black and white checkered suit while the British royal wore a dark navy suit with a maroon tie and kindly thanked her for making the appearance.
The trip to Toronto today is the first voyage made by the FLOTUS after her husband took the presidency earlier in this year as a result of being elected in November of 2016.
The former model is leading a U.S delegation to the sporting event. Prince Harry - who is the creator of the ceremony - made the organization specifically for members of the armed services who suffered injuries and mental trauma during the war in Afghanistan.
The former officer of the British army came up with the idea after watching the British team compete in the Warrior Games of 2013. In recent news, Melania Trump was under attack by many critics for her choice in shoes when she attended the Hurricane Harvey Relief benefits in Texas.
It was the hot topic for several days as the FLOTUS wore high heels on the plane to the event and changed into her sneakers when at the benefit.
Despite that fact, many professional journalists wrote that her choice in shoes was "disrespectful" to the victims, while other social media users claimed the accusations were incredibly petty and seemingly the result of a "slow news day."
Be that as it may, sources close to Melania claimed that herself and Harry hit it off today, as the FLOTUS is very good with people. As for who will be performing at this year's Invictus Games, it was reported that Kelly Clarkson, Bryan Adams, and Bruce Springsteen will take the stage.
