Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Are Reportedly Long Lost Cousins?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were born on different continents, over 5,000 miles apart, but their roots could be closer than anyone could have imagined. With the new analysis of Markle’s family history, is it possible that she and the Prince are long lost cousins?
Harry was born and raised in Kensington, London, while Markle was born in California. But, according to the Daily Mail, Markle’s roots can be traced back to a 15th century English family that was well-connected.
Markle’s father, Thomas, is a distant relative of Ralph Bowes, the High Sheriff of Durham County who lived from 1480 to 1518 and who had sizable estates at Streatlam Castle. A few generations later, Markle’s relatives moved to the United States, and there is an eventual link to the Suits actress.

On another part of the family tree, a Bowes married into the Lyon family, and Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon married into the Royal family when she wed the Duke of York. He eventually became King George VI, who is Queen Elizabeth’s father.
Just because Markle may have Royals in her family history, it doesn’t mean she is a natural princess, and that is where Harry comes in. Per the New York Post, the Prince has taken it upon himself to train his girlfriend in all things royal.
British writer Katie Nicholl said that Harry understands what Markle is in for, and he wants to prepare her the best he can.
“He knows how daunting this will be for Meghan and he’s keen for her to be relaxed in the company of senior royals,” she said.
Some of the things Harry is teaching Markle include how to properly address the Queen and how to behave in her presence, including the optional curtsy (which he has strongly encouraged).
Markle would be the first American divorcee to marry someone in line for the throne. He is currently fifth in line behind Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte. He will move to sixth after William and Kate Middleton’s third child is born next spring.
It is assumed that, like Grace Kelly, as soon as Meghan Markle marries the Prince that her acting days will be behind her. Her current contract on Suits ends next month, and she is not expected to return to the show.
