Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Are Planning To Make Their Wedding Their Own Even Though This Might Mean Ignoring Tradition!
Despite the fact that the entire world will be tuning in to see their wedding, we hear that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are planning on doing things their way. The couple doesn’t care about any criticism as long as they are happy on their special day.
The well known royal expert Katie Nicholl told us the wedding is likely to break tradition.
‘The couple wanted to put their own stamp on it. I was told from one of Harry's friends that having been to so many weddings himself, he has quite a clear idea of how he wants his wedding - especially the evening part, which is probably going to be the most fun part of the day.’
Naturally, the real celebration starts only after the pair walks down the aisle and says ‘I do.’
The expert went on to say that ‘Meghan and Harry have all sorts of things planned for that evening wedding party, which will be a much smaller event. So, we know there are going to be about 600 guests coming to the wedding, but only 200 of those will be invited to the evening reception.’
The American actress is determined to add a few personal touches to really make the day hers.
‘Meghan also, as you’d expect, has a really clear idea of what she wants on her wedding day. We have already seen her influence when it comes to the wedding cake. Traditionally when the royals marry, it is a wedding fruitcake - which is heavily iced and tiered and forms the centerpiece of the wedding breakfast table - but Meghan is going for something different. Something that’s really modern.’
Apparently, the cake will be lemon elderflower-flavored ‘covered with buttercream and decorated with fresh flowers.’
Speaking of flowers, it is said that Meghan has picked those herself as well.
‘I am told the church is going to be dressed in her favorite springtime bloom. So, expect to see a lot of peonies. Again, I think we are just going to see something with her print on it, rather than something that is more traditionally royal,’ Nicholl shared.
And the Queen has nothing against it as she apparently told the couple: 'This is your wedding, this is your day. Plan it as you want it.'
