It’s official! Pippa Middleton is expecting her very first addition to the family!
The royal wrote a column for Waitrose Kitchen magazine, and there, she talked about her first trimester and how her pregnancy is going so far.
‘I was lucky to pass the 12-week scan without suffering morning sickness. That meant that I was able to carry on as normal,’ she shared.
Pippa also mentioned that she kept it all a secret until the ‘riskier months’ had passed.
‘When I learned the happy news that I was pregnant I realized that I needed to adjust my four to five-day-a-week routine,’ the first-time mom-to-be added.
As you may remember, the first reports that Pippa and her husband James Matthews were expecting a baby were released back in April, but neither one of them confirmed the pregnancy rumors.

Because Pippa loves working out, as soon as she learned she was going to have a baby in her uterus for nine months, she realized some changes in her daily routine had to be made.
‘I’m fanatical about sport and have looked at many books and sites on exercise during pregnancy but have been quite disappointed by the limited technical information on what you can and cannot do. And this being my first pregnancy, I had so many questions I felt were still unanswered. So I decided to just adapt my current exercise routine, adjusting the weight and intensity to what felt right for me.’
She went on: ‘I’ve noticed my body change and weight increase, but through effective exercise and sports I feel that it’s been strengthened to support a healthy pregnancy, birth, and recovery. And ensure that post-baby, my old favorite jeans will still fit eventually!’
