Apollo Nida is permanently out of prison and his two sons couldn't be happier. Phaedra Parks revealed that her kids spent time with her ex-husband during Thanksgiving and she is hoping the same will happen for Christmas.

Apollo was originally supposed to be released to a halfway house around Father's Day. Just a few days after he was transitioned, the personal trainer was sent back to prison for violating the rules.

Phaedra opened up about the heartbreak her children suffered when it happened earlier this year.

'My sons have been through a lot, they’ve seen a lot of good things, they’ve seen a lot of bad things and nobody’s life is going to be perfect, so we’re just going to continue and keep our schedules as they have been and we’re going to hope and pray that Apollo can get it together.'

Just a few months after Nida was re-released, he blasted her for not letting him see the kids .

It appears that Apollo got it together just enough for Parks to allow his sons to spend more time with him.

She told the Daily Mail in a recent interview: 'The one thing that will be different about this year is that my sons' father is home from being incarcerated, so hopefully he will be able to join us for some of the festivities.'

The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum also spoke about  Ayden and Dylan's Christmas list. What she has to say is enough to make any parent laugh.

'Ayden has decided that mom is a better gift giver... someone has told him that momma has more money than Santa.'

She went on to add: 'It's really not about gift giving for us, it's Christmas every day in our home, my kids really don't want for anything, so during the Christmas season I really make it about family and memories and giving to others and really appreciating what we have as a family.'

Hopefully, this Christmas will be their best one yet.
