During an interview for New York Post’s Page Six, Jon Mesa, the tattoo artist who did Pete Davidson Ariana Grande inspired tattoos talked about when the SNL star called him to ask for one of his ink jobs to be covered. The said tattoo was of his now-former girlfriend Cazzie David’s caricature.
You’d think that the comedian has learned his lesson about getting body art of the women he is dating.
That being said, the tattoo artist had some words of advice for Pete.
‘I did a huge coverup. After we were done, I told Pete, ‘Hey, dude, let’s just stop with the girlfriend tats until after [Ariana becomes] your wife.’
But of course, we all know that Davidson did not really listen as he got the tattoos pretty quickly after they started dating.
But then again, the two did everything quickly – they left other relationships, started dating, got engaged and allegedly moved in together in just a span of a few weeks.
Davidson is now proudly displaying on his body not one but two Grande inspired tats – one of her initials, on his thumb, and the other on his neck, of her iconic black bunny mask she wore on her Dangerous Woman album cover.
‘Relationships come and go, and Pete’s a really young man. But I think that went in one ear and out the other,’ Mesa concluded. Let’s just hope he won’t regret it later on.
Mesa also said that he saw the couple earlier this week, when they came together for more tattoos and ‘They are just riding that magical wave of bliss together. It’s obvious that Pete is super in love with Ariana.’
Ariana got H2GKMO (Honest to God, knock me out) tattooed and Pete chose ‘reborn,’ which was inspired by Kid Cudi’s latest album.
