This past summer, everyone in the entertainment business couldn’t take their eyes off of Pete Davidson and his new belle, Ariana Grande, following her breakup from Mac Miller, who, unfortunately, passed away in September.
Their relationship has been front-and-center in the gossip tabloids, and Saturday Night Live‘s writers and producers are more than aware of that, using their romance as ammo for entertainment.
During last night’s premiere of the 44th season, Pete’s co-host, Colin Jost, in the middle of the Weekend Update segment, asked him about his romance with the 25-year-old singer.
“I got engaged and no one could believe it. I can’t believe it,” Davidson joked. The star added that it’s an unlikely coupling, considering she’s arguably the biggest recording artist in the world right now. According to Pete, it feels like that time an entire city pretended a child was Batman because he was sick.
However, admittedly, Davidson isn’t overly romantic. In fact, he’s full and well prepared to get a prenuptial agreement before getting married, even though, he’s in a position to gain if he divorces Ariana. Moreover, he joked that he switched her birth-control pills with Tic Tacs.

As it was previously reported, Saturday Night Live kicked off their season premiere last night with an all-star cast, including the likes of Matt Damon, Pete Davidson, and Kanye West.
Formerly, Lorne Michaels scheduled Ariana Grande as the guest of the night, but she had to back out due to emotional reasons. Kanye was next in line and happily took her place.
While fans were thrilled to watch the latest episode, Donald Trump was less enthusiastic, accusing the show of being a “political ad” for the Democratic Party. As it was previously reported, Trump, coincidentally, hosted an episode of Saturday Night Live shortly before running for the presidency.
