Peta Murgatroyd took to social media to apologize to her followers for leaving one of her performances early. The Dancing with the Stars pro revealed that it was due to a really ‘scary’ illness.
Today, the dancer posted a long message for her loyal fans, explaining why she was not part of a show during a Grand Prairie, Texas stop yesterday.
It was all part of her national tour, MAKS.VAL.PETA Confidential, alongside husband Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Val – his brother.
She started by saying that ‘I need to apologize first to the people who attended our Grand Prairie show last night,’ and then added that she has ‘never missed a show because of illness in [her] entire professional career.’
But it looks like this time around, it was so bad she had no choice but leave early.
‘I woke up feeling a bit nauseous but I was able to go about my day with [my 1 year old son] Shai. In the afternoon, the vomiting (and also you know what) started. I thought it was food poisoning. I had a high fever and chills and tried to sleep it off before the show.’
Unfortunately, her condition did not get any better.
By the time her show was supposed to start, she ‘could barely walk and could not feel [her] arms or legs.’
‘I had no idea how I was going to walk out through that door. The opening music started and I walked out onto stage. I tried my best to dance, but my legs were giving out. Apart from the whole thing being very embarrassing, it was also really scary.’
‘I’m so sorry for not being able to give you all the show you deserved,’ the dancer apologized once again.
Finally, Peta assured everyone that she is now doing a lot better.
