After fifteen seasons on the hit CBS drama NCIS, Pauley Perrette – who played Abby Sciuto – left the show because she claims someone assaulted her and her life was hell while filming. But now, the 49-year-old is “doing great” according to her dad, Paul.
Paul told Radar Online that his daughter’s health is better now than it has been in a long time, and since she finished filming she has been exercising with her dogs. He added that he is glad Pauley is “feeling better physically.”
The actress’ dad says that Pauley has not booked any new acting jobs, but he has told her that she needs to take a break. But, he joked that he wasn’t sure if she would take his advice.
Paul says his communication with his daughter is on a personal basis, and if she is happy then so is he.
I think she's just nuts!???? 'NCIS' actress Pauley Perrette threatens the media: 'I will have you arrested'https://t.co/NpuxlaueYz

Pauley recently wrote on Twitter that she was a victim of assault and bullying. “I’ve been supporting anti-bullying programs forever. But now I KNOW because it was ME! If it’s school or work, that you’re required to go to? It’s horrifying. I left. Multiple Physical Assaults. I REALLY get it now. Stay safe. Nothing is worth your safety. Tell someone.”
The actress wrote a series of cryptic tweets about her time at NCIS, claiming that a rich and powerful “machine” was keeping her silent and feeding false stories about her. She wrote that there were no morals or obligation to truth, so she has to read the lies. But, she was trying to remain calm. Then, she ended that tweet by simply writing, “He did it.”
Pauley says that maybe she was wrong for not coming forward with the truth. But, she feels like she must protect her crew and the jobs of so many people. She says she is trying to do the right thing, but maybe silence isn’t the best way to go when it comes to crime.

CBS Television Studios issued a statement this past week saying that they will miss Perrette after her “terrific run” on NCIS and they would miss her. The network also revealed that the actress came to them over a year ago with a workplace concern and they took the matter seriously. They said they worked with Perrette to find a resolution, and they are committed to all their shows having a safe work environment.
Some believe that it was a dispute between Pauley Perrette and her co-star Mark Harmon that started her problems on set. Harmon brought his dog with him to work, and the canine ended up biting a crew member. And, she did not think he should bring the dog back to the set.
New episodes of NCIS will return to CBS later this fall.
