Paul Ryan Said This About Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez And Why He Probably Likes Barack Obama More Than Trump
Now that he is out of office Paul Ryan has decided to open up about a long list of politicians including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump.
The former speaker of the House recently took part in a political event in Wisconsin where he said that he offered Ocasio-Cortez a few pieces of advice and she ignored all of them.
Ryan stated: “I don’t think she really listened to a thing I said, you know, ‘just take it easy, just watch things for a while…”
The Republican went on to praise President Obama by saying that he “disagree[s] with him, but we get along pretty well personally.”
As for president Donald Trump, Ryan had little love and said this: “We’re a little bit different.”
AOC has become a real brand and a controversial star who reigns on social media and has been featured in dozens of magazines.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone , she was asked the following questions: "But do you court the controversy? Are you trying to engage in a dialogue where you are going toe-to-toe with Trump?"
She explained: "I do think that we’ve been taking it too much. I think we’ve been tolerating the intolerable. And I remember, you know, just being a constituent, like, “Where’s the fight back on some of these issues?” What the president is trying to do is undermine truth itself. Just because I’m pushing back on reporters calling women unlikable doesn’t mean that I think their outlet itself is “fake.” There’s a huge difference between checking a narrative and checking an actual institution. That’s how you get climate deniers being treated just as seriously as venerable scientists."
She added: "So when it comes to welcoming [controversy], I think it’s fine. Frankly, part of the change is conflict. And I told this to other members too: If they want to direct their firepower to me, then whatever. I’m in a very blue district. Better me than someone else. For the most part, it doesn’t bother me. The last 24 hours have gotten to me because their hysteria is now getting manifested in sexism and bigotry. That’s where I will fight back."
Many expect AOC to respond to Ryan very soon since she is known to engage her critics.
