On Friday Canadian crooner Paul Anka accepted an invitation to perform one of his biggest hits at Donald Trump’s inauguration. Quoting a relative of the singer, Anka was to sing his famous ’My Way,’ which he wrote for Frank Sinatra.
When reporters asked Anka if he supports Trump’s political beliefs he replied: “You’re gonna have a better chance getting sunrise past a rooster on that one.”
On Saturday Anka said that he is involved in a custody battle for his 11-year-old son from his second marriage and unable to make the trip to Washington
Born 75 years ago in Ottawa, Ontario, Paul Anka has enjoyed a career spanning decades. He’s also known for his writing and composition skills. In addition to Frank Sinatra, artists such as Michael Jackson, Tom Jones, Buddy Holly and Sylvie Vartan and Mireille Mathieu have called on him for some of their songs.

Other singers to perform at various events on Friday in Washington include Toby Keith and rock band 3 Doors Down.
“America’s Got Talent” contestant Jackie Evancho will singing the national anthem, reports Yahoo.
Several prominent entertainers have declined invitations to perform at the Trump inauguration, including Garth Brooks, Andrea Bocelli and Elton John. Earlier this week, Charlotte Church also declined an invitation from the president-elect.
