Paris Jackson got candid about her struggle with suicidal thoughts! Following the tragic death of Anthony Bourdain, the daughter of Michael Jackson opened up about her own suicide attempts on social media!
Paris made sure to tell all of her followers that life does get better and that they should keep fighting.
In an emotional Instagram story, she said: ‘Don’t do what I did. And the reason why I say that because, not only is it very selfish, trying to take your life, but f**k, I know it is a cliché to say it gets better, but it really does.’
Apparently, she tried to take her own life five years ago, but she couldn’t be happier she failed.
This is not the first time she talks about it, however.
In the past, Paris revealed that she tried many times to commit suicide in her teen years after Michael Jackson passed away.
‘It was just self-hatred, low self-esteem, thinking that I could not do anything right, not thinking I was worthy of living anymore. I was doing many things that 13, 14, 15-year-olds should not do. I tried to grow up too fast, and I was not really that kind of a person,’ she told Rolling Stone magazine at the beginning of last year.
Aside from her teary Insta story, the 20-year-old also took to her account to share a message about being grateful.
‘Be grateful for what you have. As you begin to think about the things in your life that you are grateful for, you will be amazed at the never-ending thoughts that come back to you of many more things to be grateful for. You have to make the start, and then the law of attraction will receive your grateful thoughts and give you more just like them. You will have locked into the frequency of gratitude, and all good things will be yours,’ Paris wrote.
