Paris Jackson Checks Herself Into Facility To Seek Treatment For Her Emotional Health
According to brand new reports, Paris Jackson is seeking help for her emotional health. ET has confirmed via a number of insiders that the 20-year-old has checked herself into a facility where she is receiving the treatment she needs.
One source tells the outlet that after a very busy year during which she traveled all over the world for work reasons, Paris ‘decided that she needed to take some time off to reboot, realign and prioritize her physical and emotional health. She checked herself into a treatment facility to aid in her wellness plan.’
Apparently, Michael Jackson’s daughter is excited to come out of with newfound energy and ready to start new projects.
As fans remember, back in 2017, Paris opened up about her struggle with depression during an interview with Rolling Stone.
That was also when she revealed that at the age of 15, she tried to kill herself and that even before that, she had been cutting without her family knowing.
‘It was just once that it became public. It was just self-hatred, low self-esteem, thinking that I couldn't do anything right, not thinking I was worthy of living anymore.’
Apparently, her depression had, in part, to do with the fact that she would be hanging out with older people and doing ‘crazy things.’
It started when she joined a private school in grade seven and the reason why, was simply because she did not fit in with her peers.
Saying that she tried to grow up too fast and that she was not really a good person, Paris dished that ‘I was crazy. I was going through a lot of teen angst. And I was also dealing with my depression and anxiety without any help.’
It’s great to hear that now, even though she may still be dealing with some of those mental health problems, she sees things in a different light.
Jackson knows there is help out there for her and also does not hesitate to use it.
