Paris Hilton Opens Up About Her Failed Romance With Chris Zylka
On the 28th of November, Paris Hilton got candid about her failed engagement with Chris Zylka for the very first time. According to the legendary socialite, she's been "doing really good," but following the heartbreaking news, she's focused on "me time."
The 37-year-old Hilton heiress said her flaw is that she falls in love hard, and can't always see what's clearly right in front of her due to the emotional whirlwind that comes a part of romance.
She thought it was all going to work out; she'd get that "happy ending." Unfortunately, however, it just didn't go as she planned.
Hilton said she "just realized after time it wasn't the right decision," and wishes him the best in his future endeavors. For now, she'll continue to focus on her work and career. It was this past month that multiple reports confirmed Hilton and her 33-year-old fiancé had called it off after approximately 2 years.
An insider who spoke with Us Weekly said she actually broke up with him and has been out of the country for a while in Dubai as well as in Australia. During that time, she realized she wasn't making the right decision.
The source shared that there were "some problems" in the meantime, but didn't disclose precisely what they were. Ironically, Paris has been nothing short of adulating of her ex-fiancé.
In October, the reality star and entrepreneur said she and Chris felt like they were "already married." According to Hilton, he was beautiful on the inside as well as on the outside, describing him as a good man and a supportive "best friend."
The reality star went on to say that it's difficult to find someone you can trust in Los Angeles, and she finally found one. In January, Chris asked her to marry with a $2 million ring in hand.
And in August, they said they were pushing their wedding date further away because they're both too busy with work. Coincidentally, a few months back when TMZ caught Chris and Paris together, the cameraman joked that they were in love "for now." It looks like he may have been right.
