P. Diddy is slowly becoming a part of the feud between Pusha T and Drake, as the hip-hop mogul and entrepreneur made an appearance at the STORY nightclub in Miami on Saturday. The iconic entertainer made it to the VIP area along with Busta Rhymes, Migos, Rudy Gay, Le’Veon Bell, and Lance Stephenson.
Their time together came shortly after Pusha T released his diss track against Drake. As it was previously reported, Drake sent Pusha T a check for $100,000 and for “reviving” his career.
Pusha-T released a new single called, “Infrared,” and in it, the rapper claims that Drake ghostwrites a good portion of his songs. It’s a claim the hip-hop world has gotten used to. Other rappers to accuse him of similar transgressions include the recently-released, Meek Mill.
However, Diddy doesn’t appear to be taking sides, as the entertainment mogul sent the rapper a handwritten letter which praised his latest record.
Diddy referred to it as a “modern-day masterpiece,” and also a “flawless hip-hop gem. Classic, but current.” However, his praise was so positive that some think he was mocking the rapper.
Lately, P. Diddy doesn’t seem to get very involved with other people’s business, so this makes it a strange occurrence. In the last few years, Diddy has mostly focused on other entrepreneurial ventures including liquor and other brands.
The rapper has consistently topped Forbe’s list of the richest men in hip-hop over and over again. Drake, on the other hand, is typically on the list as well, but near the bottom.
As for what social media thinks of the beef, most people, unsurprisingly, have Drake’s side considering he’s a lot more popular these days. However, the bigger you are, the harder you fall, so perhaps Drake should learn to be humble because nobody can be on top for forever.
