Outlander Season 4 Finale: Will Jamie And Claire Be Able To Save Roger?
We are officially less than a week away from the Season 4 finale of Outlander . There are still a few storylines to wrap up before we reach the end, but Roger’s fate will be the focus as we conclude another amazing season.
Roger’s (Richard Rankin) life is currently in the hands of the Mohawk Indians, who purchased him as a slave after Jamie (Sam Heughan) beat him half to death a few episodes back. Jamie is now launching a rescue mission to get Roger back, which we can only hope is successful.
According to Carter Matt , the official synopsis reveals that Jamie will not be alone when he attempts to rescue Roger from captivity. Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Young Ian (John Bell) are also lending a hand to get Brianna’s (Sophie Skelton) husband back.
“Jamie, Claire and Young Ian’s attempt to rescue Roger from his Mohawk captors goes awry when a ghost from Claire’s past lays waste to their plan,” the synopsis reads.
The summary also reveals that Brianna will be worried sick about what might happen if her parents are not successful in saving Roger. Depending on how things go with Roger, it is possible that Lord John (David Berry) — posing as Briana's fiancé — will help Brianna welcome her baby at River Run.
If that scenario plays out, then it is entirely possible that Brianna and Roger will not reunite until Season 5. This would be a huge letdown for fans, but it would be something to look forward to next season. It would also allow the show to explore a new chapter in Brianna’s life at the start of Season 5.
Rankin would not give anything away in a recent interview, but he did tell Vulture that he hopes fans are there for both Roger and Briana
“I suppose it’s stood the test of time, you could say, without trying to be too cheesy. They’ve been through a lot. Brianna’s been through a heck of a lot herself. So, I just hope that everyone is there for them at the end of the season.”
Fans can watch the Season 4 finale of Outlander Sunday night on Starz.
