The first American edition of Celebrity Big Brother has been on the air for less than a week, and there’s already been plenty of drama, mainly at the hands of former White House cabinet member, Omarosa Manigault. The latest incident left Omarosa temporarily leaving the house for an undisclosed health emergency, though she is now back.
Omarosa’s housemates Ross Mathews, Mark McGrath, and others stated on the show’s live feed this weekend that she had suffered an asthma attack.
She was visibly missing during much of Saturday’s events, as seen on the live feed, and speculation swirled about her departure.
CBS announced Omarosa’s return to the Big Brother house in a statement and confirmed the reason for her temporary leave of absence.
“Omarosa has returned to the Celebrity Big Brother house after receiving medical attention last night and today for an asthma attack. This development will be addressed on the Sunday night broadcast.”
Several of the other houseguests had insinuated on the live feed that Omarosa had actually been hospitalized, though they acknowledged her ailment was not serious.
There’s a good chance this latest incident could further inflame attempts by the other cast members to get rid of Omarosa as soon as possible.
Prior to the health scare, the housemates were conspiring to take out Omarosa and her ally, former Cosby Show alum Keshia Knight-Pulliam, at the show’s next eviction.
Omarosa made waves earlier this week when she had a heart-to-heart discussion with Mathews returning her tenure in the Trump White House.
She said she tried hard to stop the president from tweeting but was stopped by others in the administration and admitted she would never vote again for Trump “in a million years, never.”
The Sunday edition of Celebrity Big Brother with the aftermath of Omarosa’s asthma incident will air tonight on CBS starting at 8/7c.
